Glareshield Panels files: personal-use licence

These files (3D print files, CAD, drawings, parts lists, wiring guides, MobiFlight configurations and instructions, together the "files") are made by Edward Brightman trading as Glareshield ("we", "us"). You bought them through our shop provider, Paddle. By downloading or using the files you agree to this licence.

You may

• Download the files and keep copies for your own use.
• Print and build as many copies as you like for your own cockpit or simulator, and modify the files for that purpose.
• Get them printed for you by a friend or a print service, as long as the finished parts are for your own use and the service doesn't keep or reuse the files.
• Show your build anywhere (photos, videos, streams, forums). A credit to Glareshield is appreciated.

You may not

• Share, upload, sell, give away or otherwise distribute the files, or modified versions of them, to anyone else, including on file-sharing sites, model repositories, Discord servers or forums.
• Sell printed parts, kits or finished panels made from the files, or use them in a commercial product or service, without our written permission. (Ask us. We're open to licensing builders and print farms.)
• Remove the Glareshield name or this licence from the files.

Parts lists and electronics: please read

• We sell files only. Any electronic parts you buy (boards, switches, encoders, displays, LEDs) are bought by you from the suppliers you choose. Links and prices in the parts lists are for convenience. Prices change, and a link isn't an endorsement of the seller.
• The designs are low-voltage, USB-powered builds. You build and wire them at your own risk. Follow the wiring guide and the suppliers' instructions, never connect to mains voltage, and supervise children.
• Backlighting and status lights are optional. Check your power budget (USB ports supply limited current) before adding them.
• 3D printers vary. We test the prints on a Bambu Lab P1S with a 0.4 mm nozzle. Other printers may need tuning, and fit isn't guaranteed on every machine.

Simulation only

The panels are for home flight simulation. They are not certified, not airworthy and not for real aircraft or training.

Your rights and our liability

Nothing in this licence affects your statutory rights. If the files are faulty or not as described, contact us and we will fix them, replace them or refund you. We are not responsible for the cost of materials, parts or printing time, or for damage resulting from how you build or use the panels, except where the law says we must be (we never exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud). Governed by the law of England and Wales; your local consumer protections still apply if you live elsewhere.
